My name is Marwan Abarchan.
Born and raised in Brussels, Belgium, I am a computer builder, video games maker and graphic designer. Half-reconverted into watchmaking, I enjoy designing some prototypes during my freetime.
I hated watches.
I used to believe a watch was overkill on a person in an era where phones replaced how we get time. After working in a jewelry and watch store, I learned how much they were precious back then, how they give more prestige on a costume or dress, and how they secretly express the personnality of the person who wears it.
I now make watches.
Well, I assemble watches. While I do not have the experience yet to call myself a watchmaker, I truly believe that thanks to this voyage, as well as your lovely support, I will be able to realize the peak of my imagination.
What is Abyssé?
I made some watches for myself and others that were not proposed by other brands. Some yes, but else with the wrong wristband, the wrong dial color, the wrong size, the wrong spirit, or even the wrong mechanism. Enough of generic stuff, and more unique pieces thought for you and your story.
I purposefully try to make the aesthetic of my watches “handmade”, which consists of a custom dial making, selective wristband type of your choice, and even place the crown stem whether left-handed or right-handed, depending on the preference.
Might think this brand will be another generic watch name, but it proposes more. Other brands only fix themselves on a common style, whilst I believe one cannot have the exact same style and personnality as another.
